Porsche Accelerator ends its first acceleration program with the Demo Day.

Madrid, July 4th, 2018. The most important day of the Porsche Accelerator by Conector corporate acceleration program took place at Porsche Ibérica offices on July 3rd; the accelerated startups presented their projects to investors, Business Angels and Venture Capital Funds as well as Porsche Iberica, Porsche Digital and Porsche AG teams.

After 5 months, the startups pitched in front of relevant personalities of the entrepreneurial, investor and motor ecosystems of our country with the objective of raising the necessary investment to continue growing their projects. This initiative, which was promoted from Porsche Ibérica with the support of Porsche Digital and together with Conector Startup Accelerator, wants to be replicated by the rest of the subsidiaries of the sportive company globally.

Tomás Villén, CEO of Porsche Ibérica, opened the event cherishing the program and remembering that Porsche began as an "automobile factory" and that it has become a "dream factory" that now aims to help entrepreneurs to meet theirs.

Next turn was for Jennifer Dungs, Digital Business Manager of Porsche Digital, who advised the entrepreneurs on how to approach big brands to reach beneficial agreements for both parties. He gave way to Sixto Arias, Partner of Conector Startup Accelerator in Madrid who summarized the role that accelerators have in the innovation ecosystem of our country.

As keynote speaker we had Javier Sirvent, who describes himself as Tech Evangelist and who gave an inspiring talk about the future of mobility and the changes that are about to come. After this space for thinking Benjamin Bartsch, Innovation & Strategy 2025 at Porsche Ibérica presented the 4 startups that made their pitches:

Unicle, the Portuguese startup focused on 5G communications and edge computing for Smart Cities, was the first to present its project to investors. Next, Juan López Miranda, CEO of Garage Scanner, an intelligent solution for public and private car parks, went on stage. Third, Wowego, the online fitness platform that aims to extend the lives of its users for 10 years and was represented by its CEO, Óscar Molina. Finally, we had Macco Robotics, a startup born in Sevilla and specialized robotics as a service.

These 4 startups that have completed the 5 months of the acceleration project were selected from among 120 projects and have had the support of the Conector mentor network and the Porsche Corporation in their Porsche Iberian and Porsche Digital divisions.

Benjamin Bartsch, concluded the event by thanking the entrepreneurs and mentors for the program and inviting the attendees to continue the evening with a networking cocktail.

This act closes a program that began with the aim of promoting new projects in the Internet of Things, Intelligent Mobility, Lifestyle and Customer Experience in Retail Sectors.
