The acceleration program Porsche Accelerator by Conector takes off with 4 chosen startups.

Madrid, 2018 March 5th. The program which support entrepreneurs driven by Porsche Ibérica, Conector Startup Accelerator and the subsidiary of sportive vehicles Porsche Digital starts tomorrow with the participation of 4 finalist startups from the connectivity, smart mobility, lifestyle and IoT sectors.

Over 120 entrepreneurs from Spain and Portugal applied to be part of the Porsche Accelerator program and 11 got the opportunity of participating with their pitches at the Startup Day last 6th of February. Finally, after the Conector´s mentors and Porsche´s board of director’s deliberation this are the chosen projects for the acceleration program:

  • GarageScanner, a platform for smart parking.
  • MaccoRobotics, specialized engineering in humanoid creative robot’s development.
  • Ubiwhere, a Portuguese Project in Smart Cities, telecommunications and IoT.
  • Wowego app offers the user fitness plans, health and nutrition services 24h.

Last Friday, at the presentation event of Porsche Accelerator by Conector, Benjamin Bartsch, Mission E & Strategy 2025 of Porsche Ibérica reminded the entrepreneurs that Porsche also started with the help of a bigger company, Volkswagen: “Sometimes working with big companies scares a little, but we can obtain mutual benefit”, he said.

Iván Burgos, Connected Car Manager of Porsche Ibérica was also present and assured to the startups: “One of the keys to success in the smart mobility ecosystem is to nurture it, that’s where it comes the #PorscheAccelerator program”.

Sixto Arias, from Conector Madrid closed the presentation act giving his advice to the startups: “The hardest part of entrepreneurship is to live without security, that´s for is essential that you have faith in your project every time”.

The acceleration program starts tomorrow, and it will end in July with the Demo Day, a private event where the entrepreneurs will have the opportunity of presenting their projects to investors, business angels and venture capitals most important of the country.
